1962-63 A&BC Chewing Gum, Footballers (Bazooka)

Background

Wrapper from the Pack

The 1962 set is A&BC's fifth set dedicated to footballers. The cards were released in two series. There are a total of 82 cards in this set.

- Series 1: 1 to 40

- Series 2: 41 to 82

There are two types of packs that could be bought which were a one card pack ($0.01) or a three card pack ($0.02). It does appear to be that the wrappers for this set are hard to find and extremely rare.

This set makes a return to the colourful backgrounds of the 1960-61 A&BC Footballers set. The back of the card features a comic style drawing of the player and a brief description of the players' attributes.

The iconic cards and rookies from this set include Bobby Moore and Jack Charlton.
