This sticker was released prior to the 1978 World Cup and was also released prior to when the squad for Argentina was announced for said World Cup.

The publishers had assumed that the young phenom, Maradona, was going to form a part of the team so his portrait was included in packs.

This sticker constitutes the first sticker of Maradona in the national team and is widely considered one of his rookies.
