Hugo Sotil

Hugo Sotil is one of the greatest footballers to have ever represented Peru. Sotil began his career at Deportivo Municipal. In 1970, he made the squad for the World Cup. In 1973, Sotil made the move to Barcelona and formed an excellent partnership with the legendary Johan Cruyff.

During his time at Barcelona, Sotil would play in the 1975 Copa America Final and score the winner against Colombia bringing Peru its second trophy.

Nearing the end of his career, Sotil would return to Peru to represent Alianza Lima alongside Cubillas and Cueto.
